Authors invest great creativity into the first line of their books. These captivating openings can turn a simple book into a timeless classic. As the new year begins, we're inviting you to kick off your own story with an exciting contest!
Here’s how to play: On January 1st and each Monday in January, we’ll announce a local business in Atascosa County on our Facebook page that has our Great Beginnings clues list. Like and share the post, then visit that business to get your list for the week. Use the clues list to identify the featured books.
Be the first to find the Golden Ticket in one of the books for that day, and bring it along with your Great Beginnings Clue List to the counter.
You’ll be entered into the drawing to win one of three prizes (A in-store gift card for $100, $50 or $25). The winners will be drawn and announced in-store on February 8th at 11 AM.
Each weekday we are open in January, a new book from the clues list will have the Golden Ticket hidden inside. There are two chances on Saturdays. There are a total of 27 opportunities to be entered into the drawing.
